I sent the following to our family on Wednesday, and thought I would share it with the rest of you:
Well, it’s official. School has started. Harper had a great day. Her teachers name is Mrs. Freye. Harper is the first American to attend Grangetown Primary School…at least in the last 10 years or so that Mrs. Palmer (the principal) has been here.
Her class is very diverse…with kids from all over the world. There’s probably at least 10 different nationalities in Harper’s class alone…many of them speaking English as a second language. Harper immediately made a friend, Ruby, she had met several months ago, so she was excited.
Mrs. Freye is very friendly and I (Julie) was able to meet up with 3 mums who I had met this summer. I guess because we are the only Americans, they remembered our names immediately.
Our walk to school is about 10 minutes, and today I walked it 8 times! Needless to say, I am a little tired. When I went to pick her up outside of her classroom I walked through the gate and saw the most diverse group of people I had ever seen in my life. As parents were there to pick up their kids from all of the grade levels I saw m*slim men in white dress against the wall, while a sea of covered women in black were closer to the school. Of course there were a few British looking people, but I thought to myself however shocked I was, “This is the environment we have always envisioned for our children, a part of the nations.” What a blessing and challenge it will be to live out our lives amidst this group.

She looks like such a big kid!!! Her school sounds awesome. Sandi
The site is awesome, I haven’t seen it is awhile. I am glad things are going so well. Tell Harper and Brooks hello for us. I hope they still remember Ashley and Tim.
