Well, I’m going to my first rugby game tonight as Wales takes on Canada. It’s a sell out, and I’ve been told to be there in time to hear the national anthem…was told it was stirring. Since this is the game I’ve decided Brooks will play as he gets older I’m planning to pay close attention to how this game is played. Right now, all I know is that when they score a “touchdown” it’s actually called a “try”. A “scrum” is what seems to start a play, but I’m not certain about this. But the scrum looks fun as the opposing teams huddle up and push each other back and forth…the ball squirts out one side and off they go. They play 2 halves at 40 minutes a piece. I have no idea how long half time is. And they don’t have cheerleaders…which is probably a good thing. They do however, have unbelievable pride. I’ve watched a couple of games on the tele and I’m amazed at the sportsmanship of the fans. It would rival the best college football game that America has to offer. And the NFL doesn’t even come close.
I’ll let you know how it goes.
Cheers.

Sounds fun! Be sure and take pictures. Would love to see what it is like.

Oh fun!! At Millenium Stadium? I’m sure you will enjoy it. We enjoy watching it too. Not a sport for pansies.
How was it? That is greatness. I don’t think I have ever watched a rugby game, even on TV. Sounds like much fun.
