TED

Okay, I’ve just come across this today, but I wanted to get something down about before I forget. Once I dig a little deeper I’ll post more. Of course, you can always check this out for yourself.

It seems there’s this guy, Chris Anderson, who is the brainchild of TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design). Chris thinks he’s been able to capture a little slice of heaven here on earth. I’m giving you a link to him explaining TED. Be sure to watch the short video clip after he’s done.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers.

Are you ready for some…….rugby???

061105scarletsvmunster07.jpg Well, I’m going to my first rugby game tonight as Wales takes on Canada. It’s a sell out, and I’ve been told to be there in time to hear the national anthem…was told it was stirring. Since this is the game I’ve decided Brooks will play as he gets older I’m planning to pay close attention to how this game is played. Right now, all I know is that when they score a “touchdown” it’s actually called a “try”. A “scrum” is what seems to start a play, but I’m not certain about this. But the scrum looks fun as the opposing teams huddle up and push each other back and forth…the ball squirts out one side and off they go. They play 2 halves at 40 minutes a piece. I have no idea how long half time is. And they don’t have cheerleaders…which is probably a good thing. They do however, have unbelievable pride. I’ve watched a couple of games on the tele and I’m amazed at the sportsmanship of the fans. It would rival the best college football game that America has to offer. And the NFL doesn’t even come close.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

Cheers.

Sting Goes Classical

B000HXDESU.01._AA240_SCLZZZZZZZ_V59149640_.jpg This is bound to get me made fun of by a few friends…but here’s a link to Sting’s new album Songs from the Labryinth. It’s not similar to anything he’s done before, but still very good.

Cheers.

Free Music

Ever since Derek Webb left Caedmon’s Call I’ve been marginally interested in his music. I’m more than marginally interested in free music and it seems that Derek is releasing his latest album Mockingbird free for download beginning September 1st. The banner will take you to his site.
